Antibiotics
Antibiotics help fight bacterial infections that can occur with COPD. An infection can cause symptoms of COPD worsen. This is called an exacerbation. Your doctor will select the best antibiotic for your infection.
Antibiotics are not used to treat viral infections. New anti-viral medications are used to fight these types of infections.
