Several medicines for chronic lung diseases like asthma or COPD are now delivered in a dry powder inhaler. Since the medicines are dry powder, they must be delivered in a special inhaler. When you inhale fast enough the medicine is released.

The basic technique for using a dry powdered medication is:

  1. Exhale away from device
  2. Put mouthpiece in your mouth
  3. Breathe in quickly
