Health-e-Feature: Personalized Medicine

  • Initiatives in personalized medicine
    Personalized medicine is an approach to treatment that is customized to a person's genetic profile. National Jewish is launching three initiatives that will support its pioneering efforts to develop personalized medicine programs. Advanced biomedical imaging, genetics, therapeutics and a centralized tissue repository will help usher in a new era in medicine. Read more.
  • Giving help for tomorrow
    A six-year-old girl found treatment at National Jewish and helped future patients by donating a tissue sample that will help further efforts in personalized medicine. Read more.

National Jewish Highlights

  • Expanding hospital-based care
    As part of its expanding scope of services, National Jewish has begun managing a growing hospitalist program at nearby Rose Medical Center in Denver. Read more.
  • Tobacco-free campus
    Effective January 1, 2008, National Jewish banned the use of tobacco products from all buildings, grounds, parking lots and vehicles on the property. Read more.
  • Quitline expands to Iowa
    The National Jewish telephonic tobacco cessation program, Quitline, now serves Iowa. Read more.
