Each student in Ms. Huppert’s literacy class was asked to write an essay that defines who they are. These writes have been compiled into a book, “Everything is a Song: Our Stories.” This book will give you insights into the lives of our children. Book Release Party
On February 12, 2015, National Jewish Health hosted a party for the release of “Everything is a Song: Our Stories.” The evening was filled with speaking, singing, and signing. As a surprise to the authors, CEO of National Jewish Health, Dr. Michael Salem, gave the authors an inspiring talk.

Morgridge Academy Welcomes New Principal
Jennifer McCullough is the new principal at Morgridge Academy. Ms. McCullough is looking forward to incorporating even more technology into the classroom, starting a home-based computer program, and working to include more project based learning activities into the classroom. National Jewish Health Kunsberg Classic Features Dinner at Shanahan’s and Golf at The Sanctuary
For the second year in a row, golfers from across the nation will gather in Denver in early August for the National Jewish Health Kunsberg Classic at The Sanctuary and Shanahan’s. The golf event will raise funds for Kunsberg School, a tuition-free day school at National Jewish Health, serving 90 chronically ill students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Tax Credit for Contributions to Kunsberg School Becomes Law
Gov. John Hickenlooper signed into law a bill that grants a state tax credit for contributions to hospital-based facility schools such as the Kunsberg School for chronically ill children at National Jewish Health.

Beaux Arts Ball to Raise Funds for National Jewish Health and Veterans with Lung Disease
National Jewish Health will “Salute the Stars and Stripes” in patriotic 1940s style at the Beaux Arts Ball on March 10. A portion of the money raised will fund the research and treatment of lung disease and injuries that veterans may face as they return from overseas deployments.
Ninth Annual Hoops & Hoopla to Benefit Kunsberg School for Chronically Ill Children
Sports lovers and supporters of National Jewish Health will gather March 31 for the ninth annual Hoops & Hoopla? fundraising event presented by Greiner Electric. Proceeds from the event go to Kunsberg School, a free kindergarten through eighth grade school for chronically ill children on the National Jewish Health campus.
Kunsberg School Efforts in Nutrition and Exercise to be Recognized at White House Celebration
The Kunsberg School, on the campus of National Jewish Health, will be honored October 17 at a White House reception with Michelle Obama for creating an environment that helps children learn about healthy food choices and being physically active. Kunsberg has been selected by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) as a winner of its Gold Award of Distinction, the highest honor for this program, and will participate in a HealthierUS School Challenge Celebration at the White House.
