Gregory P. Downey, MD, Executive Vice President

The Office of Academic Affairs oversees academic and research activities across the campus and serves as the liaison between National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado Denver, fostering strong academic and research relationships between the two institutions.

The Office of Academic Affairs also manages the National Jewish Faculty Appointment, Promotion, and Periodic Evaluation (FAPPE) policy and activities.

Center for Genes, Environment and Health

The Center for Genes, Environment and Health (CGEH) is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to understanding the genetics of complex lung and immune-related conditions. The Center builds on the scientific and clinical strengths at National Jewish Health by developing programs to understand how genes work in biological systems, how genetic variants contribute to the development of disease, and why individuals with the same disease have very different results due to the treatment. Integrated Bioinformation & Specimen Center

The Integrated Bioinformation and Specimen Center represents an ongoing, institutionally-sponsored effort to collect tissue, fluids and DNA on thousands of our patients who have generously agreed to participate in this program and link those samples to extensive phenotypic data. Learn more.
