Black & White Ball Raises More Than $460,000 to Benefit National Jewish Health

On June 24, 2023, National Jewish Health, the leading respiratory hospital in the nation, held their annual Black & White Ball with support of the Los Angeles professional business community. The event raised more than $460,000 to support National Jewish Health and the children and adults it serves across the country.

On May 21, 2022, National Jewish Health, the nation's leading respiratory hospital held their annual Black & White Ball with support of the Los Angeles professional services industry.  The event raised more than $370,000 to support National Jewish Health and the adults and children it serves across the country.

National Jewish Health Night & Day Celebrity Golf Classic Raises Nearly $240,000

On July 22 and 23, Denver’s business and philanthropic leaders gathered with local sports and media celebrities for dinner and a round of golf to help provide a whole-child education for chronically ill students attending Morgridge Academy at National Jewish Health. The Night & Day Celebrity Golf Classic raised nearly $240,000 to benefit the school.

Former Denver Nuggets Walter Davis and Ervin Johnson joined guests to watch the two match-ups on 1,600 square feet of monster screens.

HOOPS & Hoopla Raises Nearly $143,000 for Chronically Ill Children

More than 360 people raised $143,000 for the National Jewish Health Morgridge Academy while watching the men’s college basketball semifinal games on Saturday, March 31, at HOOPS & Hoopla. The fans’ night out event, presented by Greiner Electric, was held at Infinity Park Event Center in Glendale.

Morgridge Academy Purchases Laptop Computers to Enhance Learning

Dresner Foundation Gives $22,400 to Help School for Chronically Ill Children at National Jewish Health

The National Jewish Health Morgridge Academy for chronically ill children received a technological boost this fall thanks to a generous $22,400 grant from the Dresner Foundation. With the gift, Morgridge Academy, a kindergarten through eighth grade school located on the National Jewish Health campus, purchased 60 computer laptops in an effort to match each student with a laptop. Many students who attend Morgridge Academy live at or below poverty and might not otherwise have the access to these devices.

National Jewish Health Beaux Arts FREEDOM Ball Celebrates America

The 20th Anniversary Beaux Arts Ball, one of the most anticipated gala events in Denver, takes place on February 25 at Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. This year’s event will recognize the 2017 Grand Marshals as well as the many honorees before them who have made a difference in the Denver community.

San Antonians Turn Out to Honor Maggie and Gordon Hartman

San Antonians honored Maggie and Gordon Hartman May 19 at the 2016 San Antonio Humanitarian Award Luncheon. The event, which was held at the Morgan’s Wonderland Event Center, raised more than $51,000 for Morgridge Academy, a school for chronically ill children on the campus of National Jewish Health in Denver.

Record Numbers at HOOPS and Hoopla

The college men’s semi-final basketball games may not have been the nail-biters most like to see this time of year, but HOOPS & Hoopla benefiting Morgridge Academy at National Jewish Health added the “wow” factor. The event kept more than 420 fans entertained as they raised $146,000 for the unique, free day school for chronically ill children located on the campus of National Jewish Health. Held on April 2, 2016, HOOPS & Hoopla was presented by Greiner Electric.

Guests Will ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll All Night’ at the 2016 Beaux Arts Ball on March 19

More than 1,200 guests will party to the music of rock ‘n’ roll legends at the National Jewish Health Beaux Arts Rock ‘n’ Roll Ball on Friday, March 19, 2016. The annual Beaux Arts Ball is presented by Morgridge Family Foundation and benefits care and research at National Jewish Health. This year’s gala will be a rocking salute to 60 years of anthems, ballads and everything in between.

Antoine du Chez Designates Percentage of Gift Card Sales to Help Chronically Ill Children

This holiday season, you can give the gift of spa to someone special and support a great cause at the same time. Antoine du Chez, Denver’s top salon and spa for over 40 years has announced that beginning in December, 5 percent of all salon gift card sales will be donated to Morgridge Academy – a school for chronically ill children located on the campus of National Jewish Health.

National Jewish Health Night & Day Golf Classic Raises $210,000

Two of Denver’s most exclusive venues opened their doors to host the National Jewish Health Night & Day Golf Classic presented by RE/MAX and sponsored by Shanahan’s. Shanahan’s steakhouse and Sanctuary Golf Course welcomed 180 National Jewish Health supporters, who helped raise $210,000 for Morgridge Academy for chronically ill children, a free K-8 day school on the campus of National Jewish Health and the only school of its kind in the country.

Morgridge Academy Students Publish Book

As part of a class assignment, 13 middle school students from Morgridge Academy for chronically ill students on the campus of National Jewish Health were asked to write a story that defines who they are. Their stories exploring medical, societal and personal challenges, as well as goals and dreams, have been published in a book, “Everything is a Song: Our Stories.”

‘Cocktails with Class’ Raises More Than $40,000 for Chronically Ill Students at Morgridge Academy at National Jewish Health

More than 200 people attending the inaugural Cocktails with Class on May 17 raised over $40,000 to benefit the Morgridge Academy, a free, unique kindergarten through eighth-grade day school for chronically ill children located on the campus of National Jewish Health. Cocktails with Class guests enjoyed panoramic views of the Denver skyline from DaVita World Headquarters’ spacious penthouse terrace, 14 stories above the 16th Street Mall.

More than $100,000 was raised at the 11th annual HOOPS & Hoopla event presented by Greiner Electric on April 5. Proceeds of the event support the Morgridge Academy, a free school for chronically ill children located on the National Jewish Health campus. More than 350 people attended the event at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, which featured a viewing party for college basketball semi-final championship games, arcade games, interactive challenges and a silent auction.

More than 120 golfers and guests raised a record-breaking $170,000 for Morgridge Academy for chronically ill children at the sold-out National Jewish Health Golf Classic on Aug. 3-4, 2014. The event, presented by RE/MAX and sponsored by Shanahan’s, featured dinner at Shanahan’s, Denver’s most celebrated steak and seafood restaurant, followed by a day of golf at the exclusive Sanctuary golf course in Sedalia, Colo.
