Dr. Anna Dammann is a licensed pediatric psychologist who specializes in helping children and families cope with the emotional, social, and psychological challenges of chronic illness, as well as other mental health issues.
Special Interests
I specialize in supporting children, teens, and families who are navigating the challenges of chronic medical conditions. Collaborating closely with patients, caregivers, and medical teams, I address the psychological and social impacts of chronic illness. This includes promoting treatment adherence, reducing anxiety related to medical procedures, managing pain more effectively, and building coping skills to enhance quality of life. I also provide support for other mental health challenges, including anxiety and depression, which can develop alongside chronic illness. My therapeutic approach incorporates cognitive-behavioral techniques, relaxation strategies, and acceptance and commitment therapy, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
