Course Highlights:

• Epidemiology of tuberculosis

• Transmission and pathogenesis

• Diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis including MDR/XDR-TB

• Diagnosis and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection

• Emphasis on vulnerable populations such as pediatric and HIV co-infection

• Interactive Contact Investigation Workshop

Learning Objectives:

• Discuss the epidemiological features which are associated with increased risk for tuberculosis.

• Explain the clinical manifestations of tuberculosis and how they differ in unique patient populations such as pediatrics or HIV co-infection.

• Recognize the tools available for diagnosis of tuberculosis and their differences, advantages, and possible shortcomings.

• Formulate a treatment regimen for a patient with drug susceptible or drug resistant tuberculosis while understanding the pharmacokinetics and potential toxicities of that regimen.

• Discuss the importance and performance of contact investigation among persons exposed to new cases of communicable TB.

The following fees are for in-person and live-streaming options. In-person attendees receive meals and snacks daily. All options include post-event access to the recordings of the live sessions through December 31, 2025, as well as CME/CNE credit for sessions viewed.

Cancellation Policy

Virtual registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. In-person registration cancellations/changes must be received in writing before March 2, 2025 in order to be eligible for a full refund or transfer. For in-person cancellations made on or following March 2, 2025, there are three options:

• Transfer your paid registration to somebody else
• Hold your paid registration until next year’s conference
• Refund of registration amount paid minus a $100 processing fee

No refunds or credits will be given after March 26, 2025
