National Jewish Health Announces Call for Abstracts for Respiratory Disease Young Investigators’ Forum



Young physician investigators in pulmonology, allergy and immunology, pediatric and related programs who are interested in research careers, are encouraged to submit basic science or clinical research abstracts by June 17, 2024, to be considered for participation in the 20th Annual Respiratory Disease Young Investigators’ Forum. This year’s Forum will take place October 17-20, in Denver. View the call for abstracts.



ACEHP Almanac Publishes Article on Award-Winning Collaboration Project


It Takes a Village


It Takes a Village — Addressing National Priorities Related to COPD Through Collaboration and Education has been published in the Almanac, an online journal of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP), in March 2021. The core of this project aimed at training clinical teams to better diagnose and treat COPD, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of a new tool designed to better identify the estimated millions of people at risk for COPD and improve patient outcomes. ACEHP Almanac Publishes Article on Award-Winning RA Initiative

Improving Assessment, Referral and Treatment of RA: Streamlining Processes for Better Patient Care Within Our Community has been published in the Almanac, an online journal of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP), in March 2019. The 18-month Performance Improvement (PI)/Quality Improvement (QI) project reduced the time from patient referral of early RA through initiation of appropriate treatment by an average of 76 days and recently won the 2019 Excellence in Educational Design Award from the ACEHP. The goal of the initiative was to streamline processes for improved access to specialty care for individuals diagnosed with RA. View the article.
