Fay Gold

Fay Gold is a legendary gallerist who pioneered contemporary art in Atlanta. She brought to the South groundbreaking artists, such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Cindy Sherman, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz, Irving Penn, Radcliffe Bailey and Robert Mapplethorpe. Gold is the author of an upcoming memoir, Basquiat’s Cat. She established The Fay Gold Gallery in 1980, which was one of the top galleries in the nation for 30 years.
