Telehealth is now Video Visit
National Jewish Health now offers Video Visits through MyChart. Patients in Colorado with access to a smartphone, tablet or a computer with a camera and a microphone can do a Video Visit.
Accessing Video Visit
A care team member will set up the appointment in your MyChart account. If you don’t have a MyChart account, you can download the MyChart app or sign up online.
Equipment Needed
You will need a computer or tablet with a working webcam, speakers and microphone or a smartphone.
Things to Remember
- Complete the check-in process at least 15 minutes before your appointment.
- Digitally sign the consent and other forms on MyChart prior to your appointment. (You’ll sign your consent forms during echeck-in. Please make sure you complete the process before you start your appointment.)
- Ensure that you’re only logged in on one device. For example, if you plan to use your phone for the Video Visit, log out of MyChart on your computer.
- Prepare for the appointment in a private place with a good Internet connection.
Tips for a Successful Visit
- On a PC use Chrome as your web browser. On a Mac use Safari or Chrome.
- Be sure your Internet connection is strong enough to play video online.
- Be sure the volume is turned up and the mute button is off.
