Wally LedererWally first appeared on the campus of National Jewish Health in 1984, after working at The National Asthma Center the previous six years as a counselor. Wally initially worked on Two May, the dual diagnosis unit, with pediatric patients. Wally transferred  to Morgridge Academy in 1992 when he worked as a tutor in the Resource Room. Wally has worked under the supervision of five different principals, has had many different titles and roles, all the while working towards his Master’s in Education, which he completed in 2006. He worked as a classroom teacher for three years before becoming the Child Advocate, a role he has enjoyed since 2008. Wally has lived in Evergreen since 1974, managing a restaurant for six years. He also managed a seventy-two acre estate for ten years while working at National Jewish Health. He was responsible for the outdoor landscaping, the management  of the trout in two ponds and the creek that ran through the property. He also catered many parties, mixing in his love of cooking with gainful employment.

Wally is proud of his career at National Jewish Health, working with many great colleagues who have shared their knowledge about working with children who have a chronic disease. Wally still lives in Evergreen with his wife of twenty-five years, they have raised twins boys who are twenty-four. I love working at Morgridge Academy, educating and shaping lives of young people.
