National Jewish Health 2014 Beaux Arts Ball Presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation Honors Oil

Kathy and Ted Brown Among the Grand Marshals at February 22 Gala

National Jewish Health will honor four Grand Marshal couples, including Kathy and Ted Brown, at its 2014 Beaux Arts Ball “Gatsby” presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation on Feb. 22. Mr. Brown is advisor to Noble Energy’s CEO and COO and serves as the company’s senior vice president. The Browns are being recognized for their philanthropy and influence in the Denver community. The unparalleled Roaring ’20s themed “Gatsby” event to be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver Colorado Convention Center will also honor Robin and Cole Finegan, Tim Gill and Scott Miller, and Debbie and Don Silversmith. 

Kathy and Ted Brown, both Wyoming natives, share a love of the Rocky Mountain environment and the welfare of children. Mr. Brown—recently named the 2013 Wildcatter of the Year by the Western Energy Alliance—began his career in energy with Amoco Production Company, moving to Union Pacific Resources, Williams and Barrett Resources, and Patina Oil and Gas Company. His tenure at Noble Energy began in May 2005 when that organization acquired Patina Oil and Gas. Mr. Brown is a board member of Colorado Concern, on the executive committee of the Colorado Oil and Gas Association, and a director and co-founder of Coloradans for Responsible Energy Development. Mrs. Brown is an advocate for helping abused children. The Browns support Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, Tennyson Center and The Children’s Hospital, in addition to National Jewish Health.

The Beaux Arts Ball is the largest fundraising event held in Denver for National Jewish Health. Each year, more than 1,200 people attend the ball to celebrate the world-renowned institution and to enjoy one of Denver’s most highly anticipated social events of the year. The millions of dollars raised at the Beaux Arts Ball benefit the research and care of children and adults with respiratory, allergic, cardiac, immune and related diseases at National Jewish Health.
