National Jewish Health 2014 Beaux Arts Ball Presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation Honors Fina

Debbie and Don Silversmith Among the Grand Marshals at February 22 Gala

National Jewish Health will honor four Grand Marshal couples, including Debbie and Don Silversmith, at its 2014 Beaux Arts Ball presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation on Feb. 22. The Silversmiths are being recognized for their philanthropy and influence in the Denver community. Mrs. Silversmith is managing director of investment research for First Western Trust, while Mr. Silversmith is chairman of First Western Trust in Cherry Creek. The Roaring ’20s themed “Gatsby” event at the Hyatt Regency Denver Colorado Convention Center also will honor Kathy and Ted Brown, Robin and Cole Finegan, and Tim Gill and Scott Miller.

Mr. and Mrs. Silversmith both joined First Western with the merger of Sterling Partners, the company they founded in 1986. Jewish Family Service of Colorado named them Kal Zeff Business Leaders of the Year in 2004. They come from a long line of National Jewish Health supporters and have continued the tradition as leaders of the institution. Mr. Silversmith is a vice chair of the National Jewish Health Board of Directors and a director of Denver Scholarship Foundation. They also support Jewish Family Service of Colorado, University of Denver, Denver Health Foundation, Shalom Cares and other organizations.

The Beaux Arts Ball is the largest fundraising event held in Denver for National Jewish Health. Each year, more than 1,200 people attend the ball to celebrate the world-renowned institution and to enjoy one of Denver’s most highly anticipated social events of the year. The millions of dollars raised at the Beaux Arts Ball benefit the research and care of children and adults with respiratory, allergic, cardiac, immune and related diseases at National Jewish Health.
