National Jewish Health 2014 Beaux Arts Ball Presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation Honors Phil

Tim Gill and Scott Miller Among the Grand Marshals at February 22 Gala

National Jewish Health will honor four Grand Marshal couples, including Tim Gill and Scott Miller, at its 2014 Beaux Arts Ball presented by the Morgridge Family Foundation on Feb. 22. Mr. Gill and Mr. Miller are being recognized for their philanthropy and influence in the Denver community. Mr. Gill is founder of the Gill Foundation, and Mr. Miller is a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services. The Roaring ’20s themed “Gatsby” event at the Hyatt Regency Denver Colorado Convention Center will also honor Kathy and Ted Brown, Robin and Cole Finegan, and Debbie and Don Silversmith. 

Tim Gill and Scott Miller are avid champions of civil rights, especially advancing the equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied individuals. Mr. Gill, who co-founded Quark Inc. in 1981, is the founder of the Gill Foundation. The Gill Foundation, which has invested nearly $250 million during its 20-year history to support programs and nonprofit organizations throughout the country, is one of the nation’s largest funders of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equal rights work. Mr. Miller is a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services. Together, the couple supports civil rights, social justice organizations and educational institutions. Mr. Gill was one of the first major contributors to the Colorado AIDS Project and has a long history of supporting public radio and television, as well as organizations such as the American Red Cross, Denver Art Museum Inc., and other organizations that serve the public. He received the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Award for Community Service in May 2013.

The Beaux Arts Ball is the largest fundraising event held in Denver for National Jewish Health. Each year, more than 1,200 people attend the ball to celebrate the world-renowned institution and to enjoy one of Denver’s most highly anticipated social events of the year. The millions of dollars raised at the Beaux Arts Ball benefit the research and care of children and adults with respiratory, allergic, cardiac, immune and related diseases at National Jewish Health.
