Los Angeles Real Estate and Financial Services Industries Raise More Than $100,000 for Nation’s Lead
National Jewish Health Benefits from Annual Breath of Life Golf Classic
LOS ANGELES, CA —
The 22nd annual Los Angeles Real Estate and Financial Services Breath of Life Golf Classic on May 5 raised more than $100,000 for the nation’s leading respiratory hospital, National Jewish Health. The tournament has raised more than $1 million for National Jewish Health since its inception.
The event attracted nearly 100 golfers, including Tom Welling, the actor who played Superman on Smallville among other roles. It also featured the Los Angeles Charity Angels, a Cinco de Mayo celebration and on-course games to win an Infiniti Q50S from Beverly Hills Infiniti, and $100,000 and $10,000 cash prizes.
National Jewish Health is the only facility in the world dedicated exclusively to groundbreaking medical research and treatment of patients with respiratory, cardiac, immune and related disorders. Patients visit the institution in Denver from around the world to receive cutting-edge, comprehensive, coordinated care. Last year alone, National Jewish Health received nearly 2,900 visits from California patients. The Breath of Life Golf Classic is one of several events held in the Los Angeles area each year to benefit National Jewish Health, which has trained 45 physicians in California through its fellowship program.
The Stanley and Joyce Black Family Foundation was the presenting sponsor of the event at El Caballero Country Club in Encino. Tournament Co-Chairs were Tony Behrstock, Commonwealth, and National Jewish Health Trustees Murray Fischer, attorney at law, and David Sonnenblick, Sonnenblick Eichner. Sponsors included Bucky Hazan, John Aroe Group Beverly Hills, Toyota Motor Sales USA and Sonnenblick-Eichner Company.
