Electrophysiologist Dr. Raphael Sung Joins National Jewish Health

Raphael Sung, MD, FACC, FHRS, has joined the faculty at National Jewish Health in the Division of Cardiology. He comes to National Jewish Health from Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, California, where he served as the clinical director of cardiac electrophysiology. He completed fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and general cardiology at University of California San Francisco. Dr. Sung received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania.  
 

Dr. Sung is a board-certified electrophysiologist who treats all heart rhythm disorders. He is skilled at implantation of all current cardiac rhythm devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICD), implantable loop recorders, and leadless pacemakers and subcutaneous ICDs. Dr. Sung also performs all electrophysiology study and ablations procedures, including complex atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia ablations. He holds outpatient clinics at National Jewish Health and Platte Valley Medical Center. He performs surgical cases at Saint Joseph Hospital and Platte Valley Medical Center, both part of SCL Health.
