National Jewish Health Hires Dr. Sandra Gunselman as Executive Director of Advanced Diagnostics Laboratories
DENVER, CO —
National Jewish Health announced the appointment of Sandra Gunselman, PhD, as Executive Director of the Advanced Diagnostics Laboratories. National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories provides immune and respiratory disease expertise to clinical, biotech, pharmaceutical, public health and diagnostic partners. Dr. Gunselman will lead the effort to expand business for the laboratories and market specialized diagnostic tests to larger audiences.
Dr. Gunselman comes to National Jewish Health with more than two decades of research and laboratory leadership experience. Most recently she worked at Assurex Health in Mason, Ohio, where she served as Vice President of Laboratory Operations for the past four years.

National Jewish Health has a far-reaching reputation as the center of excellence in respiratory care, and the Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories are a major contributor to that reputation,” said Dr. Gunselman. “Some of the world’s leading researchers in immunology, TB, and mycobacteriology are here, and there is great potential to lead other emerging areas such as molecular genomics and rheumatology.”
Dr. Gunselman received her doctorate in cellular and molecular biology from Colorado State University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Washington and Eppley Cancer Research Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Additionally, she has authored 18 peer-reviewed publications.
