Reeti Khare, PhD, D(ABMM), Named Infectious Disease Laboratory Director, Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories at National Jewish Health

National Jewish Health has announced the appointment of Reeti Khare, PhD, D(ABMM), as Infectious Diseases and Mycobacteriology Laboratory Director for its Advanced Diagnostics Laboratories. Dr. Khare will lead the clinical and research initiatives for the Mycobacteriology and Microbiology Laboratories, two of seven laboratories that make up National Jewish Health Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories.

Dr. Khare comes to National Jewish Health with more than a decade of laboratory and research experience in the field of microbiology. Most recently, she worked at Norwell Health Laboratories in Lake Success, New York, where she served as the Director of Microbiology.

“National Jewish Health has one of the most respected mycobacteriology laboratories in the world. I am honored to oversee the clinical laboratory, as well as the research and development efforts for tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM),” said Dr. Khare.

Dr. Khare earned her doctorate in virology and gene therapy from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She has written a book titled, “Guide to Clinical and Diagnostic Virology,” has written numerous book chapters and has co-authored articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
