National Jewish Health Provides Easy Access COVID-19 Vaccinations

To support more Coloradoans becoming vaccinated against COVID-19, National Jewish Health has opened “walk-up” access for vaccinations at its main campus pharmacy just off Colfax Ave. at Jackson St. In addition, National Jewish Health continues to partner with the University of Denver to host community vaccination events and this month will also team up with local restaurant Birdcall. These efforts are in support of the state of Colorado and the national goal of reaching a 70% vaccination rate by July 4. These events are sponsored by the Tuchman Family Foundation.

"Incredible progress has been made in Colorado, and across the country, in getting people vaccinated. These efforts have allowed us to begin to return to day-to-day normalcy and see the light at the end of this pandemic," said Steve Frankel, MD, Executive Vice President of Clinical Affairs at National Jewish Health. "However, there is still work to be done if we want to defeat COVID-19. We continue to work to make access to the vaccine as easy as possible, and encourage all to get vaccinated for their own health, the health of their loved ones and our communities."

Join us at Birdcall for vaccination and a free crispy chicken sandwich meal

Together with our vaccination partners from University of Denver and our colleagues at Birdcall, National Jewish Health will provide vaccinations at a series of events held in the Birdcall parking lot in the Five Points neighborhood, 800 E 26th Ave. The vaccine events are scheduled for Thursdays, June 17, June 24 and July 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day. The events are free and open to the public. As an added bonus, every person vaccinated at the event will receive a free crispy chicken sandwich meal from Birdcall.

Walk-in vaccinations at National Jewish Health – NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED

Walk-in vaccinations are available to the public without an appointment at the National Jewish Health pharmacy, weekdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Those wanting a vaccine will have the option of either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, depending on availability. Check-in at the main entrance located off Colfax at Jackson St.

National Jewish Health will be working with others in the community on more vaccination opportunities throughout the month consistent with our mass vaccination efforts since these safe and effective vaccines have been approved for use.
