Pediatric Pulmonologist Dr. James Brock Joins National Jewish Health for Kids


DENVER, CO —

James BrockJames Brock, DO, has joined the National Jewish Health for Kids pediatric pulmonology team. Dr. Brock will serve as a general pediatric pulmonologist with special interests in bronchopulmonary dysplasia and severe pediatric asthma. He comes to National Jewish Health from the Irvine School of Medicine in Irvine, CA where he served as assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology. Dr. Brock speaks conversational Spanish and will see patients at the National Jewish Health main campus as well as through a joint aerodigestive clinic with the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.
   

Dr. Brock received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. He completed his residency at University of California, San Francisco-Fresno, and fellowship training at the University of California, Irvine. Following post-graduate training, Dr. Brock served as pediatric pulmonologist at Memorial Care Women’s and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, CA. He has research interests in pediatric asthma and protocol development for weaning supplemental oxygen in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia. In 2015, Dr. Brock published a children’s book titled Creatures of Nature.
