DENVER —

June 17, 2024 – On June 8, 2024, National Jewish Health hosted its annual Black & White Ball with the support of the Los Angeles professional business community. More than $440,000 was raised to benefit children and adults from across the country who are served by National Jewish Health, the nation’s leading respiratory hospital.

Honorees Rosario Jáuregui and Bill Schoenholz.

At the event, Rosario Jáuregui of Merchant Financial Group and Bill Schoenholz of Buchalter were honored with the prestigious Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes individuals across the country who have made significant civic and charitable contributions to their communities and professions.

More than 300 of Los Angeles’ top attorneys, CPAs, finance professionals and executives in the apparel, real estate, investment banking and entertainment industries gathered at the Beverly Hilton for the Havana Nights-themed event, presented by Buchalter. For 60 years, the Los Angeles professional services industry has gathered for a dinner to support National Jewish Health and honor members of their profession.

“It’s always very moving to be with people who have made a commitment to help others,” said Schoenholz. “I feel honored to be this year’s co-honoree, and I’m so happy Rosario is accepting this honor with me.”

The honorees’ family members participated by presenting them with the Humanitarian Awards. Shoenhoelz’s daughters, Ariana and Leila, presented his award as he was honored for his leadership in banking and finance, his mentorship of young executives, and his dedicated volunteer service to Jewish, cultural and other community organizations throughout Los Angeles.

David and Chris Jáuregui honored their mother who was recognized for her distinguished career and accomplishments in the financial industry, more than 25 years of involvement with National Jewish Health and her commitment to several other local and global charitable causes.

“I believe strongly in this cause,” shared Jáuregui. “So to be recognized, to me, is awesome.”
