Many people recovering from COVID-19 suffer lingering effects following infection, both physical and emotional. The Center for Post-COVID Care and Recovery at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO, helps patients continue their recovery journey.

Immediate Needs after Recovery

  • Adequate nutrition and safe mobility

 

Post COVID Conditions

Pulmonary

  • Persistent respiratory symptoms - shortness of breath, cough, wheezing
  • Persistent radiographic abnormalities 
  • Need for supplemental oxygen
  • Hospital / ICU follow-up after severe infection, pneumonia, ARDS

Cardiology

  • Inappropriate tachycardia, palpitations, chest pain
  • Myocarditis and arrhythmias
  • Abnormal EKG, echo, Holter monitor readings
