Many believe that osteoporosis affects only women.
Men who have smoked can also be affected.
Men and women looked basically the same - was totally unexpected.
We studied the bone density of 3000+ former smokers, and found these men were more likely to have low bone density.
These results could expand routine osteoporosis screenings.
Male smokers, consider getting a bone density scan.
