National Jewish Health® maintains a repository of biological samples from the unique patient populations treated at our facility. When these samples are combined with the electronic medical record (EMR), we are able to obtain extensive clinical information collected over time, including:
- Laboratory testing
- Symptoms
- Diagnoses
- Demographics
These well-annotated phenotypic data allow us to identify specific patient populations and highly relevant samples for respiratory diseases both common and rare.
Biorepository Facts
- More than 6,000 aliquoted patient samples
- More than 2,500 diagnoses tied to the biorepository through the research database
Biorepository Sample Types
- Brushings - viable epithelial cells
- Blood
- BAL
