Throughout his impactful career, Dr. William Silvers helped the people of Colorado as an allergy, asthma and immunology specialist. Dr. Silvers has been a committed partner to National Jewish Health through his inspiring lecture series, the William S. Silvers, MD Integrative Allergy Immunology Respiratory Wellness Program.

Dr. Silvers has graciously ensured that we can bring you the latest in integrative medicine, as it relates to AIR, or Allergy, Immunology and Respiratory medicine. Each year, this lectureship will have the ultimate goal of inspiring medical professionals to learn and share new techniques that will help them provide the best integrative care for their patients.

A former allergy and immunology fellow at National Jewish Health, Dr. Silvers is a well-known advocate of treating the whole patient through a combination of traditional, complementary and alternative medicine. He has been named a “Top Doctor” by 5280 magazine multiple times. He is highly respected in allergy, asthma and immunology, sports medicine as well as integrative medicine. Dr. Silvers is the son of Holocaust survivors and has committed much of his efforts to bioethics and humanities.

As an advocate for integrative medicine, Dr. Silvers hopes to use his expertise to create a legacy that extends beyond financial contributions. His lecture series is a prime example of his wish to provide further education to anyone willing to learn and share the knowledge of experts in their fields. For Dr. Silvers, his retirement is not the conclusion of his service to the community, but an opportunity to support the issues he cares about in a new capacity. We are grateful for his accomplishments to the medical community, including sponsoring this annual lectureship.
