Light Spinach Dip

Share this spinach dip with families and friends – they won’t even know it has reduced fat and fewer calories.

Ingredients

  • Light Spinach Dip1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

  • 1 container (16 ounces) fat-free or light sour cream

  • 1 cup fat-free light mayonnaise

  • 1 package (1.4 ounces) dry vegetable soup and recipe mix

  • 1 can (8 ounces) water chestnuts, drained and chopped

  • 3 green onions, cleaned and chopped

 

Directions

  1. Thaw spinach overnight in refrigerator, or thaw in the microwave. Squeeze out excess moisture.

  2. In medium bowl, stir spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix, water chestnuts and green onions until well mixed.

  3. Cover and chill at least two hours to blend flavors.

  4. Stir before serving.

  5. Serve with raw vegetables. (e.g. carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, etc.)
