Philancy Monck
Ms. Monck completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Behavioral Science with certification in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading, from Metropolitan State College, in 1996. She taught for 6 years at a private school in a multi-age classroom for students with learning disabilities and severe health issues. She then went on to become a Reading Specialist for Douglas County Schools while working towards a Master’s Degree in Special Education, from Regis University. She taught Special Education at the high school level for Douglas County Schools from 2012 to 2019. Ms. Monck decided to return to the classroom and began teaching at Morgridge Academy for the 2019/2020 school year. Ms. Monck has an adult daughter who works in 3D animation. Ms. Monck shares space with her 22 pound Maine Coon cat, Gracie. She enjoys reading, hiking, fishing, kayaking and knitting in her spare time.
