Zachary Munson, MSW, LCSW
Zach grew up in Arvada, Colorado and attended the University of Denver, where he received his BA in Psychology with a minor in Gender & Women’s Studies. After college, Zach began co-teaching at Mount Saint Vincent in Denver, where he discovered his passion for work in school-based mental health. In 2018, Zach completed his MSW at Metropolitan State University of Denver, which was followed by a move to the Twin Cities, where he was a school social worker in Minneapolis for four years. In 2022, Zach moved back to Colorado, completed his clinical licensure, and began working in private practice with adults. This is Zach’s first year at Morgridge Academy, and he is thrilled to step back into education to support students and families.
Zach is passionate about social and racial justice, exploring and celebrating people’s identities, and growing through connections and relationships. He loves getting to know students and families, learning, playing and laughing at school, and working each day to make our systems equitable for all. In his free time, Zach enjoys being with his spouse, playing hockey and basketball, hiking, camping and fishing in the mountains, cooking new recipes, reading and listening to podcasts, and cheering on the Colorado Avalanche.
