Senior Counselor, Palantir
Samuel Rascoff is an expert in national security law; he joined data analytics firm Palantir as a senior counselor in 2019. He also serves as faculty director of the New York University Center on Law and Security. Named a Carnegie Scholar, he was previously director of intelligence for the New York City Police Department, where he created and led a team responsible for assessing terrorist threats to the city.
Samuel started his career as a law clerk to US Supreme Court Justice David Souter and to Judge Pierre N. Leval of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He was also a special assistant with the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq and an associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
Samuel lives in Denver with his wife Lauren who is an Urogynecologist and their three school-aged children.
