Jerry Glauser served as owner and president of nine automobile dealerships during an impressive career that spanned 50 years. His Glauser Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, Volkswagen and other franchises were located in Denver, Houston and Sarasota, Florida.
Though he is retired from the automobile business, Mr. Glauser has actively invested in biotechnology companies since 2007. He has partnered with beauty industry entrepreneur Dennis Ratner and former NBA all-star Chauncey Billups to open Plaza Suites, a salon franchise in Detroit. The group plans to expand across the U.S., building beauty salons that include 20 to 30 suites to be leased to private hairdressers primarily in middle-class African American neighborhoods.
Mr. Glauser lived in Sarasota for 30 years before moving to Denver in 2005. He has been married to his wife, Barbara, for 50 years. The couple has two children and five grandchildren.
